It’s that’s time of year again! Hallmark has started their cheesy Christmas movies again. And I’m under the covers, sipping “adult” hot chocolate, and cuddling with my cat. What has my life come to? *sigh*
Oh and of course books are always around. Just finished the first 3 books in S.L. Jennings Se7en Sinner’s Series. Talk about HOT and emotional. Definitely not for your kids. But indulge in those guilty pleasures, isn’t that what the holidays are all about 😉 😉 ?
What guilty pleasures are you reading? I confessed mine, tell me yours.
Everything is not as it seems
Like what I did there? 😉 Insider for those who have already read the book or it least flipped through it’s pages. Well written with a small twist. Unrealistic? Most likely. I am a cynic when it comes to love, so maybe I’m wrong. I’m also a sap: I like the chance to escape and think that love comes easy and trips to Hawaii by 18 year old runaways are possible. Very simple, quick read. I like the formatting of the book. The layout reminded me of Night Film by Marisha Pessl. As you may have seen me state before, I hate writing reviews. Mostly because I feel like I’m rambling when I write them. I’m sure I’ll find some creative way to dish them out. Just work with me in the meantime.
I’ve been itching to go to the bookstore (yes, addict style). However, I have so many new books to read I just can’t justify buying more. And I canNOT walk into a bookstore and not buy a book. But, I LOVE going to the bookstore it’s something about the atmosphere. The smell. The feeling as you walk around. Seeing other people just like you. I once saw a couple on a date there (at least I think it was ). I thought it was the cutest thing! Sometimes I secretly dream of meeting someone in the bookstore:
Ok. Who am I kidding? I dream of it all the time! Maybe one day…..until then you’ll get to hear all of my crazy dreamy romance wish confessions 😉
By the way check out the comment on the pin….I totally agree with that! Bars aren’t my thing (nothing wrong with it just this introvert’s nightmare sometimes lol) but a book bar? I’d toast to that! And make sure I keep to one glass of wine to keep sounding semi-intelligent 😉
Share your dreamy book date confessions or others if you dare 🙂
